I believe art education is essential for a well-rounded education. An art program can help a child develop basic skills, visual awareness, self-esteem, and self-expression. The art classroom would be viewed as a safe and nurturing environment. The students would gain knowledge and tolerance of his/her fellow man. I believe this would create a more educated and well-rounded individual. I feel if you understand yourself you can better understand the world.
